The Prevailing Faith
Mk 10:15 "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."
Kingdom of God is the realm where God is the king. When we accept Jesus as the Lord and King of our life, we are stepping into the Kingdom of God . We live in the kingdom of God as we embrace the Word of God as the final word on the subject. Unlike an adult, the little child lacks prior experience or knowledge that works against the Word received. Human intelligence sometimes can become a hindrance in receiving from the kingdom of God .
There is a real story of how the first suspension bridge was built over Niagara Falls . There was no airplane at that time. They could not ride a boat over the falls. When everything else failed, the engineers arranged a kite flying competition. One boy got the price. He was able to fly his kite across the river low enough for the people on the other side to grab the string. The kite string was used to pull a cord across, then a line, then a rope. Next came an iron-wire cable and then steel cables, until a structure strong enough to build a suspension bridge was in place.
In Christian life that kite and string is comparable to the promises of God and our faith. The wind of the Holy Spirit is able to bring it to the presence of God from where the heavenly reinforcement can arrive in our lives.
